PINEAPPLE MOCKTAIL : PIÑA COLADA WITHOUT ALCOHOL
Here is a simple and delicious recipe for a pineapple mocktail. This non-alcoholic cocktail is refreshing and perfect for a hot day or a special occasion.
INGREDIENTS
- 800 ml of fresh pineapple juice (or bottled pineapple juice, preferably without added sugar)
- 400 ml of lemonade or lemon soda (for a sparkling touch)
- 4 tablespoons of grenadine syrup (optional, for sweetness and color)
- 4 tablespoons of mint syrup or a few fresh mint leaves (optional, for a refreshing flavor)
- Ice cubes (enough for 4 glasses)
- 4 slices of fresh pineapple (for garnish)
- A few fresh mint leaves for garnish
DETAILED PREPARATION METHOD
-
PREPARE YOUR EQUIPMENT AND INGREDIENTS
- Choose a large pitcher or bowl for mixing the ingredients. You’ll also need 4 tall glasses for serving the mocktails.
- Cut the fresh pineapple into thin slices. Set aside 4 slices for garnish. You can also cut more fruit if you’d like to add pineapple chunks to your glasses.
- Wash a few mint leaves for garnish.
-
CHILL THE GLASSES
- Fill the 4 glasses with ice cubes. This will help keep your mocktails cold longer. You can also place the glasses in the fridge for a few minutes before filling them if you prefer super-chilled glasses.
-
MIX THE LIQUID INGREDIENTS
- In the pitcher, pour in the 800 ml of fresh pineapple juice. Pineapple juice is the base of your mocktail, so ensure it is chilled for the best result.
- Add 400 ml of lemonade or lemon soda for a sparkling and refreshing twist.
- If you like a sweeter taste and a lovely red color, pour in 4 tablespoons of grenadine syrup. This will add sweetness and a nice hue.
- For a fresh minty flavor, add 4 tablespoons of mint syrup or a few fresh mint leaves. If using mint leaves, gently bruise them with the back of a spoon to release their aroma before adding them to the mix.
-
STIR THE INGREDIENTS TOGETHER
- Mix all the ingredients well in the pitcher using a long spoon or a whisk. If you used mint leaves, make sure they’re well incorporated so the drink absorbs their flavor. You can also use a cocktail shaker for better mixing, but a pitcher or large glass will work just fine.
-
POUR THE MIXTURE INTO THE GLASSES
- Once everything is well mixed, pour the mixture evenly into the 4 glasses filled with ice cubes. Make sure each glass gets the same amount of mocktail.
-
GARNISH THE PINEAPPLE MOCKTAIL
Place a slice of fresh pineapple on the rim of each glass. This will not only look beautiful but also add a fruity touch when drinking.
- For extra decoration, add one or two fresh mint leaves to each glass. You can gently float them on top for a more aesthetic effect.
-
SERVE THE PINEAPPLE MOCKTAIL IMMEDIATELY
- Serve your pineapple mocktail right away to enjoy its freshness and sparkle. You can add straws or cocktail stirrers for an extra touch of fun.
EXTRA TIPS FOR PINEAPPLE MOCKTAIL
- If you want a creamier version, you can replace part of the lemonade with coconut milk or yogurt.
- For a more exotic taste, add a few chunks of mango or passion fruit to the mix for an even more tropical flavor.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of grenadine or mint syrup according to your taste preferences.
Enjoy your refreshing and sweet pineapple mocktail
